BeatAtlas works without internet; it only needs to check in now and then.
BeatAtlas analyses songs on your PC and never needs the internet for that. To keep your licence confirmed, it checks in with our server at least every 30 days, quietly, whenever it can. Joining any Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot for a moment is enough.
| Days since the last check-in | What you see |
|---|---|
| Up to 30 | Nothing. Everything works. Settings > Licence shows how many days are left; near the end, a grey line reminds you. |
| 30 to 44 | Everything still works. Each time BeatAtlas starts, one banner you can close (never during playback) asks you to check in. |
| After 44 | Analysing new songs and exporting pause until BeatAtlas checks in. Your maps still open, play and save. Checking in puts everything back at once. |
Going somewhere without internet? Settings > Licence > Check in now before you leave. On a show PC that never goes online, check in with a file (how).
Nothing licence-related ever interrupts playback, and nothing is ever added to your audio or exports.
