Getting started
Install BeatAtlas, open a song and export your first markers.
- Download and install. Get the installer from the download page and run it. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows warns about an Unknown publisher: choose More info, then Run anyway (see installing BeatAtlas).
- Start the demo or enter your key. The first time BeatAtlas opens, it offers Start demo (7 days, every feature), Enter key and Buy. Either needs the internet once.
- Open a song. Choose Open and pick a WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3 file. BeatAtlas analyses it on your PC; nothing is uploaded.
- Check the grid. Bar numbers in amber are the ones BeatAtlas is least sure of. Play those bars and listen.
- Place markers. Press M while the song plays, or click on the marker row. Turn on snapping to put them exactly on a beat or a hit.
- Export. Choose Export in the marker list and pick the formats you need: REAPER marker CSV, cue list CSV, MIDI tempo map, LTC timecode WAV or click track.
