Moving to a new computer
Free a computer from the app or your account page, and the yearly move limit.
Your key works on 2 computers at once. To use it somewhere new, free one of them.
- From the old computer: Settings > Licence > Free this computer. If it has no internet, choose This computer has no internet and upload the file it saves on the activation page.
- If the old computer is dead, lost or sold: sign in to your account page and choose Free this computer beside it. You do not need the old PC.
- On the new computer: enter your key. If all places are taken, BeatAtlas offers to free one in the same step.
Each of these counts as a move. A key has 5 moves a year; the account page shows how many are left and when they come back. These do not count: activating the same computer again (after reinstalling Windows, say), and a computer that simply stopped checking in.
