Activating without internet
For a show PC that never goes online: activate and check in with a file.
BeatAtlas can activate, check in and start the demo with a small file that you carry on a USB stick to any device with a browser.
- On the show PC: Settings > Licence > Activate without internet. Type your key, then save the request file (it ends in
.bareq) to a USB stick. - On any computer or phone with internet: open the activation page, choose the file and upload it. You get back a licence file (it ends in
.balic). - Back on the show PC: Load licence file, or drag the file onto the BeatAtlas window. Done.
A licence made this way lasts 90 days, never less than an online check-in. Before it ends, BeatAtlas reminds you, and Renew by file makes the next request file: there is nothing to type that time.
A request file for activation contains your key. Delete it after use. Renewal files contain no key.
Lost the file? Make the request file again writes the same request again; uploading either copy, or both, gives the same answer.
