Entering your licence key

Where the key is, how to type it, and what "computers full" means.

Your key looks like BA1-K7Q2M-9XW3F-T8RZD-4HNPC. It is in the e-mail we sent when you bought BeatAtlas, and on your account page.

  1. Open BeatAtlas and choose Enter key (or Settings > Licence).
  2. Paste the key. Capital or small letters, spaces and dashes all work, and the letters O and I are read as the numbers 0 and 1.
  3. Confirm the name for this computer (for example "PC 1, added 16 Oct"), then Activate.

If BeatAtlas says "That key doesn't look right", a character is missing or two are swapped: copy it again from the e-mail or the account page.

A key works on 2 computers at once. If they are all in use, BeatAtlas lists them and offers to free one so you can activate here. That counts as one of your moves (see moving to a new computer).

After activation BeatAtlas does not keep the key on the PC, only its last five characters, so a copied licence folder never gives the key away.
