Version 2026-10-17, in force from 17 October 2026.
1. About us and these terms
1.1 These terms apply when you buy a BeatAtlas licence from our website, beatatlas.co.uk. BeatAtlas is sold by ArcSeven Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17277571, registered office 307 Cotton Exchange, Old Hall Street, Liverpool, L3 9LQ, England ("ArcSeven", "we", "us").
1.2 You can contact us by e-mail at Contact@arcsevenlabs.co.uk, or by post at our registered office above. Formal legal notices can also be sent by e-mail to legal@arcsevenlabs.co.uk.
1.3 Please read these terms, the BeatAtlas End User Licence Agreement ("EULA", at beatatlas.co.uk/eula), our Refund and Cancellation Policy (beatatlas.co.uk/refunds) and our Privacy Policy (beatatlas.co.uk/privacy) before you buy. Your order confirmation e-mail repeats the key facts of your licence and links to the exact versions of these terms and of the EULA that you accepted. Every version stays on our website, and we will e-mail you a copy if you ask.
1.4 You must be 18 or over to buy. These terms are in English only.
1.5 "Consumer" means an individual buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. "Business customer" means anyone else, including a sole trader buying for their work. Some sections apply only to one or the other, and say so.
2. What you are buying
2.1 You are buying a licence to use the BeatAtlas software (the standalone app and the VST3 plugin for Windows) on the terms of the EULA. You are not buying the software itself.
2.2 Before you pay, our website shows you the key facts of your licence, and your order confirmation e-mail repeats them. These four are "Your Licence Terms" (as in clause 1.6 of the EULA):
- how many computers your key can be active on at the same time (2 for licences sold under this version);
- how many times a year you can move your key to another computer yourself (5 for licences sold under this version; after that, we help by e-mail);
- how often BeatAtlas must check in with our server over the internet: at least once every 30 days for licences sold under this version. A computer activated or checked in with a file may go longer between check-ins (90 days at present, and never less than your check-in period);
- what happens if it cannot check in: it keeps working for a grace period (14 days for licences sold under this version), and then analysing new songs and exporting pause until it checks in.
2.3 Your Licence Terms are fixed for your licence. We may change these settings for future buyers, but we will never make them worse for a licence you have already bought.
2.4 Your licence also includes every update of BeatAtlas version 1 (versions 1.x), at no extra charge (EULA clause 10). When you buy, BeatAtlas needs Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit, and the plugin needs a VST3 host program; the system requirements are at beatatlas.co.uk/download.
2.5 You can try BeatAtlas free before you buy. The demo and its current length are described at beatatlas.co.uk. Please use it to check that BeatAtlas works on your computer and with your software.
3. Where we sell
3.1 At present we sell only to buyers who live in the United Kingdom. The list of countries we sell to is shown at beatatlas.co.uk/buy before you start an order.
3.2 You must give your true billing address. To meet our tax duties, we check the country of your billing address, the country that issued your card and the country your internet connection comes from.
3.3 If your billing address and your card are both from a country we do not sell to, we will refund your payment in full straight away and will not send a key.
3.4 If the checks do not agree (for example a UK billing address with a card from another country and a connection from outside the UK), or if our payment provider's fraud checks ask for a review, we will hold your order and check it, normally within one working day. We may ask you a question by e-mail. While your order is on hold, you may cancel it by e-mail for a full refund. If we cannot accept the order, we refund you in full.
3.5 We cannot sell to anyone in a country under comprehensive United Kingdom sanctions. Such an order is refunded in full and no key is sent.
4. Price and payment
4.1 The price is shown on our website in pounds sterling (GBP). It is the total you pay. We add no fees at checkout.
4.2 No VAT is charged. ArcSeven Ltd is not registered for VAT. If we register for VAT, we will update these terms for future orders; the price shown before you pay will always be the total you pay.
4.3 You pay through Stripe, our payment provider, on Stripe's secure checkout page. We accept the payment methods shown there: debit and credit cards, and card wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay where Stripe offers them on your device. We never see or store your full card number.
4.4 Your bank may charge its own fees, for example for a payment in a foreign currency. These are not charged by us.
4.5 If we change our prices, the change does not affect orders already paid.
4.6 If we make an obvious mistake in a price, we will tell you as soon as we notice and give you a full refund if you do not want to go ahead. If we notice before your key is sent, we will not send it until you confirm.
4.7 From time to time we may offer a discount code. A code lowers the price shown on our order summary and on Stripe's page before you pay. It cannot be exchanged for money.
5. How the order works and when the contract is made
5.1 To buy:
- Choose your country on our website.
- Read the key facts about BeatAtlas, these terms and the EULA.
- Tick the box that asks for your key straight away (see section 7).
- Pay on Stripe's checkout page, where you also tick Stripe's box to accept these terms.
- Your licence key appears on the next page of our website, and we e-mail you an order confirmation with your key and the download link.
5.2 Our contract with you is made when we first show you your key or send the order confirmation e-mail, whichever comes first. If we cannot accept your order (for example under section 3), we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
5.3 If you find a mistake in your order details, e-mail us at Contact@arcsevenlabs.co.uk and we will correct it.
5.4 We keep a record of your order, the version of these terms and of the EULA you accepted, and your consent under section 7. You can ask us for a copy.
6. Delivery of your key
6.1 We show your key on our website straight after payment and send it, with the download link, by e-mail, usually within a few minutes, to the e-mail address you gave at checkout. Your key is also on your account page at beatatlas.co.uk/account, where you sign in with a link we e-mail you.
6.2 If you have not received it within 24 hours, please check your spam folder and then e-mail us. If we cannot supply your key within 30 days of payment, you may cancel and we will refund you in full.
6.3 The key is supplied when we show it to you or send it, even if you do not activate it straight away.
7. Your right to cancel
7.1 If you are a consumer, the law gives you 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).
7.2 Because BeatAtlas is digital content, that legal right ends once we supply your key, but only if you asked for the key to be supplied within those 14 days and acknowledged that you would lose the right. Before checkout we ask you to tick this box, which is not ticked in advance:
"I want my licence key straight away. I understand that once the key is shown to me or sent, I lose my legal right to cancel within 14 days. ArcSeven's own 14-day refund promise still applies."
7.3 Our order confirmation e-mail confirms that you gave this consent and acknowledgement.
7.4 Until we supply your key (for example while your order is on hold), you may still cancel under the law.
7.5 Our Refund and Cancellation Policy (beatatlas.co.uk/refunds) explains how to cancel, and our own 14-day refund promise, which goes beyond the law.
8. Our 14-day refund promise
8.1 Whether you are a consumer or a business customer, if BeatAtlas is not right for you, e-mail us at Contact@arcsevenlabs.co.uk within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. We revoke your key when we refund. This promise is limited to one refund per customer. The details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
9. If something is wrong with BeatAtlas
9.1 If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. BeatAtlas must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any purpose you told us about. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or a replacement. If that is not possible, or does not fix the problem within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a price reduction, which can be a full refund. If BeatAtlas damages your computer or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation. These rights do not depend on our refund promise and do not end after 14 days.
9.2 If you are a business customer, section 11.4 of the EULA sets out our promise and our liability.
9.3 Please tell us about any problem at Contact@arcsevenlabs.co.uk. We aim to reply within 2 working days. Any refund we owe you under this section is paid within 14 days of us agreeing that it is due, to the payment method you used, without any fee.
10. Our responsibility for loss or damage
10.1 Section 11 of the EULA sets out our responsibility for loss or damage, separately for consumers and business customers. It applies to your purchase as well as to your use of BeatAtlas.
10.2 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Revoking a key
11.1 We revoke a key when we refund it, when a payment is reversed or charged back, or when the EULA allows us to end your licence. A revoked key stops working when BeatAtlas next checks in with our server. A computer that cannot check in keeps working only until its current licence period and the grace period after it run out.
11.2 If you think there is a problem with a payment, please contact us before asking your bank to reverse it. We will refund you under section 8 or section 9 where they apply.
12. Complaints
12.1 If you have a complaint, e-mail us at Contact@arcsevenlabs.co.uk. We will acknowledge it within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
12.2 If we cannot settle your complaint, we will tell you so in writing, give you the name and website of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider that could consider it, and tell you whether we agree to use that provider. You can also get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice (www.citizensadvice.org.uk), and you may go to court under section 15.
13. Your information
13.1 We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy at beatatlas.co.uk/privacy.
14. Other important terms
14.1 We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another organisation that takes over BeatAtlas. We will tell you, and your rights will not be reduced. You may transfer your licence only as the EULA allows.
14.2 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
14.3 If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.
14.4 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
14.5 We may update these terms for future orders. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order.
15. Law and courts
15.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
15.2 If you are a consumer, you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland you may also bring them in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland, in the Northern Irish courts.
15.3 If you are a business customer, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
